Resumo

          Este artigo apresenta uma análise crítica da obra Softwar: A Novel Theory on Power Projection and the National Strategic Significance of Bitcoin, de Jason P. Lowery. Estruturado por capítulos, a resenha visa contrastar a proposta do autor, que reinterpreta o Bitcoin como uma ferramenta estratégica de dissuasão estatal, com os fundamentos teóricos da Escola Austríaca de Economia: Carl Menger, Ludwig von Mises, Friedrich Hayek, Murray Rothbard, Hans-Hermann Hoppe. Esta experiência analítica se expande à medida que retrocede na linha do tempo a predecessores influentes como Adam Smith, Frédéric Bastiat e Alexis de Tocqueville. O argumento-chave é mostrar como a apropriação estatal de tecnologias descentralizadas como o Bitcoin compromete sua base ética e funcional. A crítica é desenvolvida sob a crença no jusnaturalismo, ordem espontânea, liberdade individual e da defesa intransigente da propriedade privada.
