Este artículo presenta un análisis crítico de Softwar: A Novel Theory on Power Projection and the National Strategic Significance of Bitcoin, de Jason P. Lowery. Estructurado capítulo por capítulo, el estudio busca contrastar la propuesta del autor —que reinterpreta Bitcoin como una herramienta estratégica de disuasión estatal— con los fundamentos teóricos de la Escuela Austríaca de Economía: Carl Menger, Ludwig von Mises, Friedrich Hayek, Murray Rothbard y Hans-Hermann Hoppe. La experiencia analítica se amplía con aportes de predecesores influyentes como Adam Smith, Frédéric Bastiat y Alexis de Tocqueville. El argumento central es demostrar cómo la apropiación estatal de tecnologías descentralizadas como Bitcoin socava sus fundamentos éticos y funcionales. La crítica se desarrolla bajo la creencia en la ley natural, el orden espontáneo, la libertad individual y la defensa intransigente de la propiedad privada.
