Resumo

Dramas televisivos são ferramentas importantes para apresentar cenários hipotéticos e imaginar diferentes maneiras de lidar com eles, ao mesmo tempo em que se testa a viabilidade de teorias éticas que poderiam nortear julgamentos morais e decisões práticas a serem feitas na vida real. Buffy, a Caça-vampiros (1997-2003) deixou um importante legado na Cultura Popular, cativando telespectadores ao redor do mundo e mantendo-se relevante 20 anos após sua exibição. O objetivo deste artigo é revisitar a 4ª temporada da série Buffy e analisá-la sob uma ótica libertária. Ao longo dessa temporada, diversos temas relevantes são discutidos, como a forma e o funcionamento do estado, seu relacionamento com a sociedade, a subversão de autoridades governamentais e a moralidade da lei e das punições. Espera-se que a exitosa adoção da ética e princípios libertários para compreender esta série televisiva possa realçar o Libertarianismo como alternativa filosófica válida, a ser tomada em conta para a resolução de problemas atuais.
